Bozcaada Drinking Water Network and Transmission Line Project Construction Work

3D Infrastructure Modeling Service with Drinking Water, Sewage, Stormwater and Road Precise Projects

Within the scope of the construction of the Bozcaada Drinking Water Network and Transmission Line Project, carried out in order to completely renovate the drinking water infrastructure located in Bozcaada District of Çanakkale Province, Noktasal Proje Mühendislik has successfully prepared detailed engineering designs and 3-dimensional BIM modeling of these projects along with drinking water, sewage, stormwater and road precise projects.

Scope and Target of the Project

The project has been developed in order to respond to the infrastructure needs required by both the resident population and the tourist mobility, which increases by 3-4 times the population in the summer season. Within this scope, it is aimed to provide drinking water, reduce water losses, renew transmission and distribution lines and implement digital infrastructure planning Jul.

Drinking Water Project and Technical Solutions

Current Situation and Needs Analysis

  • The project was prepared based on the population projection N2051=12,000 people.< / li>
  • The daily water consumption per person was taken as 100 lt/person/day and the annual drinking water requirement was determined.< / li>
  • The high loss-leakage rates in the old systems have been minimized with modern control systems by accepting them in the December of 10-20% in the new project.< / li>

Planned Facilities and Lines

  • 2 pcs drinking water tank:
    • V = 1000 m3 (beach section – lower elevation warehouse)
    • V = 150 m3 (upper floor network)
    < / li>
  • 10.790 m promotion line, 9450 m attractive transmission line, 25 km network line
  • Types of pipes used:
    • Ø315 mm/Ø355 mm/Ø250 mm/Ø110 mm HDPE, PN10–PN16
    < / li>
  • Water is taken from the existing boreholes 17/5159 and 17/4176, the system is supported by new submersible pumps (15-22 kW).< / li>
  • Infrastructure integrity has been ensured at the facility site with protective fence, security arrangements and flow-controlled valve systems.< / li>

Sewerage and Stormwater Systems

  • The sewer network has been designed from parcel connections to the main collector lines in order to cover all domestic wastewater sources.< / li>
  • Hydraulic flow analysis in a gravity-based system was calculated by taking into account the difference in elevation and line break points.< / li>
  • Rainwater system;
    • Collection of surface flows,
    • Drainage grids,
    • Manhole structures and
    • Supported by collector lines.< / li>
    < / li>
  • Special evacuation solutions have been applied to divert rainwater into open channels or the sea with appropriate slope.< / li>

Road and Transportation Projects

For roads within the project area:

  • Road intersections,
  • Suggestions for soil improvement,
  • Curbside, treatment and roadside drainage systems have been prepared.< / li>

Infrastructure overlap analyses were carried out in coordination with drinking water and infrastructure lines; road projects were organized accordingly.

3D Infrastructure Modeling and Coordination

All drinking water, wastewater, stormwater and road systems have been prepared in a three-dimensional modeling environment, these models are:

  • Conflict control,
  • Optimization of excavation-filling volumes,
  • It is structured for the purpose of providing support to maintenance and operation processes.< / li>

In addition, the relationship of infrastructure systems with building foundations at different elevations was analyzed in a three-dimensional environment and full coordination was ensured before implementation.

Result

The Bozcaada Drinking Water Network and Transmission Line Project is an exemplary project in which comprehensive engineering solutions for the current and future drinking water needs of the island are combined with digital infrastructure management.

With this project, Point Project Engineering has designed not only drinking water, but also sewerage, stormwater and road infrastructure within the framework of the principles of technical accuracy, sustainability and digital integrity.

The application projects and the 3D infrastructure model created at the end of the project have been prepared in such a way that they will directly support both the construction process on the site and post-operation maintenance activities.
